Redina Rapi
President - Class of 2026
Redina is a junior in the college studying Philosophy, Politics & Economics (PPE) and minoring in Consumer Psychology and Hispanic Studies. Redina re-started JMS because she was looking for a welcoming, inclusive community of other pre-law students.
She envisions JMS as a valuable resource to help her and other students understand the law school application process and connect with alumni who have undegone this experience.
Outside of JMS, Redina is also is involved with the Penn Albanian Society, The WALK Fashion Magazine, and the Philadelphia Institute of Contemporary Art. In her free time, she loves to cook new recipes, visit art exhibitions, and go on road trips to spontaneous places.
Rawan Awadalla
Vice President - Class of 2026
Rawan is a junior in the college studying Sociology with a concentration in Law and Society and a minor in Legal Studies. She joined JMS on the quest for legal knowledge that is complemented by networking opportunities and insights into the intricacies of the legal profession.
Rawan aspires to help transform JMS into a valuable resource facilitating the understanding of the law school application process and fostering connections with alumni who have undergone similar experiences.
Outside of JMS, Rawan is a part of the Sociology Undergraduate Assembly Board, Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity, Penn for Unicef, International Affairs Association, and Penn Arab Society. Outside the realm of academia, Rawan finds joy in baking, exploring new places, and visiting different art exhibitions and installations.
Raunak Mandal
External Chair - Class of 2026
Raunak is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences and the Wharton School pursuing a dual degree in Philosophy, Politics & Economics (PPE) and Legal Studies on a pre-law track.
He has worked extensively in criminal law, working on trial teams and writing appellate briefs. Outside of JMS, he is involved in Moot Court, Wharton Undergraduates in Public Policy, and the Penn Undergraduate Law Journal. In his free time, Raunak is probably watching or playing soccer, or playing music on the guitar or piano.
Matthew Breier
Internal Chair - Class of 2026
Matthew is a junior in the college studying Anthropology and Health and Societies (HSOC), and minoring in History and Classical studies. His HSOC concentration is in Bioethics and Society.He is excited to be on the board of JMS and is planning on applying to law school to later practice healthcare law.
Outside of JMS, he co-heads the Clio Society and is a Discentes Research Editor and Events Contributor, playing the alto saxophone in the Penn Wind Ensemble and Fencers Group at Penn. In his spare time, Matthew loves to bake (especially muffins!) and read.
Nicolas Scola
Professional Development Chair - Class of 2027
Nick is a sophomore pursuing an uncoordinated dual-degree through Wharton and the college, concentrating in Finance and studying Philosophy, Politics & Economics (PPE). He is currently interested in corporate and Constitutional Law and has even published a legal brief regarding the constitutionality of the Federal Reserve.
After graduating from Penn, Nick plans to work in finance before attending law school and later practicing corporate law as a Mergers & Acquisitions attorney.
Outside of his academics, Nick enjoys investing, traveling, playing basketball and hanging out with friends.
Zara Tena
Marketing Chair - Class of 2026
Zara is a junior in the college studying Political Science and minoring in Legal Studies and History. Zara joined JMS because she wanted to connect with other pre-law students at Penn.
As an international student, she believes that JMS can be a valuable tool for students to understand the process of going to law school and what this entails.
Outside of JMS, Zara is also involved in The Daily Pennsylvanian, F-Word Magazine, the WALK, and Perry World House. In her free time she loves to go on walks, read, and go on shopping trips with her friends.
Vivi Sankar
Finance Chair - Class of 2027
Vivi is a sophomore in the college studying Chemistry and minoring in Consumer Psychology and Data Science as a Benjamin Franklin Scholar. She is interested in the intersection between medicine and policy applications. She is also interested in solving global challenges with an interdisciplinary perspective, especially in patent and intellectual property law.
Outside of JMS, Vivi writes for The Daily Pennsylvanian, is involved with Moot Court, the West Philadelphia Tutoring Project and Penn Undergraduate Chemistry Society. She also currently does chemistry research with the Fakhraai Lab at Penn.
In her free time, Vivi loves crocheting, baking new recipes and traveling.
Neal Kochhar
Freshman Liaison - Class of 2028
Neal is a first year in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies and History. He joined JMS to collaborate with other pre-law students at Penn. He also values the law community and network of JMS.
Outside of JMS, Neal is involved in The Daily Pennsylvanian, Penn Political Review, Undergraduate Assembly, and the University of Pennsylvania Model United Nations Conference. He also enjoys drumming and is involved in Penn Band and Penn Jazz.
Reagan Reese
Webmaster - Class of 2026
Reagan is a junior in the college studying Philosophy, Politics & Economics (PPE) with minors in Neuroscience and Consumer Psychology. She joined JMS for more opportunities to connect with others in the legal profession.
Outside of JMS, she is an EMT through Penn's Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT), member of Chi Omega Fraternity, Penn Traditions, and is on the Penn Panhellenic Council.
Reagan recently interned in the U.S. House of Representatives, where she found a passion for government and law. After Penn, she hopes to work in the government for a few years before attending law school and practicing corporate law.
